I began my physiotherapy journey at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where I developed a strong foundation in rehabilitation and patient care. I also hold a Master of Clinical Physiotherapy from Curtin University, where I gained advanced skills in assessing and treating complex musculoskeletal conditions, emphasising the integration of evidence-based practice into patient care. My professional journey has encompassed roles in both public hospitals and private clinics, where I’ve managed a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from complex musculoskeletal issues to post-surgical rehabilitation and chronic pain management.
What are your interests?
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through gym and fitness, as well as exploring new cultures and cuisines. I’m also a video game enthusiast, appreciating both the challenge and creativity that gaming brings. These interests help me maintain a balanced lifestyle and bring a well-rounded approach to my professional life.
Tell us about a life-changing experience or adventure you’ve been on.
One of the most transformative experiences in my career was working with psychiatric patients at Kowloon Hospital. It taught me the deep connection between physical and mental health and reinforced the importance of a holistic and comprehensive approach to rehabilitation. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, I saw firsthand how physiotherapy could improve not just physical function but also mental well-being.
What is your area of expertise?
My primary interest lie in musculoskeletal pain and chronic pain management. I specialize in creating personalized treatment plans that combine manual therapy, exercise-based rehabilitation, and pain education to help patients regain function and improve their quality of life. I am passionate about staying updated with the latest advancements in the field, continuously improving my skills to provide the best care possible for my patients.
What is the most fulfilling part of this job?
The most fulfilling aspect of my profession is definitely witnessing my patients regaining their mobility and confidence, and enabling them to resume activities that they are passionate about. Helping my patients to understand their pain and what is happening to their own body, as well as improving their quality of life is incredibly rewarding. Each success story is a testament to the positive impact physiotherapy can have!
